My Motivation
I love seeing people meet Christ and grow in their relationship with Him. I know that sounds cliché, but that is the number one goal. When I look out and see families, who two years ago wouldn't set foot in a church, and now they're worshipping God and their lives are drastically different, that's why I do what I do.
My Background
I grew up in the NW suburbs of Chicago and attended this church as a kid. In my 20's, I lived in Nashville, TN playing music and serving food. In 2007, I became a youth/worship pastor for three years at Harvest Bible Chapel in Jupiter, Florida. In 2010, I joined the staff of The Bridge. I've served as Adult Pastor and Worship Pastor, and now as Executive Pastor. I'm also the emcee of The Experience Conference, a worship conference in Orlando, FL. I now live in Des Plaines with my wife Michele, and my two boys, Caden and Chase.
My Spiritual Journey
I grew up here at The Bridge. I became a believer when I was 6. My faith really took off in high school and college through our youth group and Campus Crusade for Christ. I always thought I had a boring story because I became a Christian at a young age. I wasn't saved out of an addiction, or depression, or bad relationships. But now I know what a blessing that is. Would I rather have suffered through those things? Only by the grace of God is my story what it is. There are many with similar stories who have slowly backed away from God. I hope my story motivates them to keep serving, stay plugged in and see what God wants to do in their life right now.
One More Thing
I studied classical percussion in college. When people see me leading music, it's probably hard to imagine me sitting through an opera and hitting a triangle two times!
